Floppydata Floppydata

Fastest Residential Proxies from Singapore: Latency Tested

From our server in Singapore, Floppydata had the lowest median latency of 12 residential proxy providers: 0.73 s, ahead of Decodo, Oxylabs and SOAX at about 0.80 s. The lead holds at 95% confidence against every other provider.

These numbers are from Singapore only. We operate Floppydata and tested it with the same scripts, servers and schedule as the other 11 providers. The full data and scripts are public.

First place Floppydata (we operate it) = tied place

Median full request time (connect, tunnel, TLS, response) of successful requests from our Singapore server, 8,400 requests per provider over 12 exit countries. TTFB (time to first byte) is from the separate curl test on 7 October.

Key findings

From Singapore, one provider was clearly fastest on full request time; time to first byte was a closer race.

  • Floppydata is fastest from Singapore

0.73 s median latency. The 95% interval of the difference excludes zero against each of the other 11 providers.

  • Decodo, Oxylabs and SOAX follow

All at about 0.80 s; then DataImpulse (0.95 s) and Evomi (0.97 s). The slowest was Rayobyte at 1.80 s.

  • Time to first byte: no clear winner

Floppydata had the lowest median TTFB (0.77 s), but within the 95% intervals of Decodo, Oxylabs, Evomi, SOAX, DataImpulse and NodeMaven. We don't call a TTFB winner from Singapore.

How we measured

How we measured speed from Singapore

One of our three test servers ran in Singapore (Hetzner cloud). It sent the same requests through every provider on the same schedule, 5–8 October 2026.

  • Latency. 100 requests per provider and exit country, to a Cloudflare trace endpoint, at 08:00 and 20:00 UTC: 8,400 requests per provider over 12 exit countries. Latency is the full request time (connect, tunnel, TLS and response) of successful requests; we report the median.
  • Time to first byte. On 7 October we measured TTFB with curl: 10 requests per provider and exit country from the same server.
  • Who is ahead. For each provider against the leader, we computed the 95% confidence interval of the difference in medians from the raw logs, resampling whole runs (latency) or exit countries (TTFB). A difference whose interval includes zero is not called a lead.

Limits

  • One location. These numbers are from Singapore only; from our US and German servers the order of providers was different. Latency depends on the distance between your server, the proxy gateway and the exit country.
  • Mixed exit countries. The median covers 12 exit countries, from Vietnam and Indonesia to Brazil and the US. A single country will be faster or slower.
  • TTFB from one day. The TTFB test ran once, on 7 October, with fewer requests, so its intervals are wide.
  • Raw data and scripts. The anonymized request logs, the test scripts and the results workbook are on GitHub, so every number here can be recomputed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the fastest residential proxy from Singapore?
In our benchmark, Floppydata: 0.73 s median latency from our Singapore server, ahead of Decodo, Oxylabs and SOAX at about 0.80 s.
Is it also the fastest from the US or Europe?
Not necessarily: from our US and German servers the order was different. This page covers Singapore; the full benchmark has every server.
What is the difference between latency and TTFB?
Latency here is the full request time, from connecting to the proxy to the end of the response. TTFB is the time until the first byte of the response arrives.
Which provider had the fastest TTFB from Singapore?
Floppydata had the lowest median (0.77 s), but within the 95% intervals of 6 other providers, so we don't call a winner.
