How we tested
We bought rotating, pay-per-GB mobile traffic from each of 11 providers on regular terms and ran every test through the same scripts, servers and schedule, from 24 to 27 October 2026.
- Servers. Three Hetzner cloud servers in the US, Germany and Singapore, on a fixed schedule (cron, UTC).
- Countries. 12 exit countries: US, DE, GB, FR, ES, BR, IN, PL, UA, TR, VN, ID.
- Providers. Floppydata, Decodo, Oxylabs, Evomi, SOAX, DataImpulse, ProxyEmpire, NodeMaven, IPRoyal, Byteful, ResiProx.
Tests
- Infrastructure (Success Rate, Latency, Duplicate Rate, Geo Accuracy). 100 rotating requests per provider and country to a Cloudflare trace endpoint from each server, at 08:00 and 20:00 UTC.
- Targets (Google, Instagram). Google search in 12 countries and the Instagram profile page in the US, Germany and the UK, as a phone browser without JavaScript, at 11:00 and 23:00 UTC.
- Sticky sessions. 8 sessions per provider four times a day, each asking for a 30-minute sticky IP and checked every 30 seconds.
- TCP fingerprint. p0f on our own endpoint reads the TCP handshake of the device behind the exit IP, twice a day.
- IP quality. Scamalytics and IPinfo on 300 IPs per provider; IP2Location.io on 10,000 IPs and MaxMind on 1,000 IPs per provider for the Mobile IP Share.
- Cost. Price per GB × traffic by each provider's own counter ÷ successful requests, per 1,000 requests.
Limitations and disclosure
Disclosure. We operate Floppydata, one of the 11 providers in this test. We tested it on the same terms as the others; its traffic came from a package bought earlier for our residential benchmark, and the cost uses its public price of $1.00/GB.
