Best German Residential Proxy Servers

Best German Residential Proxy Servers

As someone who regularly scrapes data and manages multiple accounts for my clients across the globe, I keep testing various proxies for multiple countries to find out which ones are the best. I usually rank them on the basis of their speed, connectivity, IP rotation, automation features, and most importantly, public reviews. In this guide, I’ll share 7 of the best German residential proxy providers I’ve tried.

Why Do You Need a German Residential Proxy?

A German proxy server routes your internet traffic through a German based IP address to make you appear as if you’re sitting in Germany. This helps you access websites restricted to German, or operate your client’s accounts, run ad campaigns, conduct SEO research etc.

1. FloppyData German Residential Proxies

Floppydata german proxy

FloppyData is one of my top picks for German residential proxies. I have been using it for a really long time because all their proxies are fast, safe and reliable. FloppyData has over 65 million IPs across 195+ countries. They have over 1 million German IPs which is a huge number in comparison.

Moreover, FloppyData has the simplest UI. The whole process of setting up a German proxy is very simple and easy. You can define your own proxy pools for specific locations, track your remaining usage and access usage reports.

FloppyData is also the most budget friendly of all options with German rotating residential proxies costing $2.95/gb. You can also create a custom German proxy plan starting at $2.10/gb. It supports both HTTPs and SOCKS5 connections with extended API support for web scraping and automation.

It holds a TrustPilot rating of 4.3 with users praising its responsive support and quality of service. As a first hand over of FloppyData, this provider tops my list in German residential proxies.

2. IPRoyal German Proxy Solution

IPRoyal German Proxy

If you’re low on budget, IPRoyal is a strong contender for affordable German proxies. The price is the main selling point. While it offers one of the most expensive datacenter and mobile proxies, its rotating residential proxy only costs $1.75/gb (50% discount from original $3.5 listed on website) which is the lowest in this list of proxies.

IPRoyal has 400k+ IPs available for Germany. You get the city level selection option for Germany which is an excellent feature for localized marketing tasks. It is SOCKS5 supported, fast and works pretty good. I did face some issues with disconnections where my sessions timed out in some instances.

Now we get to the customer reviews including my own personal take. IPRoyal has 400k IPs and the site says nothing about the proxies being dedicated. This means, multiple people are using the same IPs for their browsing which can ban some IPs of some platforms. So when it’s your turn to use that banned IP, you face problems. This could also be one of the reasons their price is low.

Some customers claimed that their US proxy was actually a Jordan IP (fault in routing). Many customers positively praise the platform as well so it comes down to your budget preference in the end.

3. NodeMaven German Proxies

NodeMaven German Proxies

NodeMaven’s German residential proxies are praised for their speed and reliability. They have over 30 million IPs across 100+ countries but in Germany, they only have 200k+ residential IPs. The good part is that you can see and select proxies for specific cities.

During my tests, NodeMaven’s German IPs were extremely reliable. I encountered no bad or burned IPs. Issues can occur but they are very rare, which explains that 1-star review on TrustPilot. This aligns with their claim of a 95% clean IP rate via real-time filtering.

NodeMaven claims that their IPs are secure, clean and can avoid all types of bans while maintaining sticky long sessions with the same IP for upto 24 hours. This makes it a great option for general browsing and business tasks.

You can get 1gb bandwidth for $4.5. They also have monthly pricing plans along with pay-as-you-go models which vary in pricing depending on how much bandwidth you buy. But still, they cost anywhere around $3.5-$4/gb.

4. Oxylabs German Proxy Servers for Scraping

Oxylabs German Proxy

OxyLabs is a well-known contender in the proxy industry with its years of reputation. Oxylabs is often favored by web scrapers and data scientists who use its robust set of tools to scrape huge data sets, run web automation scripts and more.

Oxylabs proxies can bypass CAPTCHAs, avoid bans and provide a 99.95% uptime. You can expect your web scraping and automation tasks using German proxies to get successful without any problems (or minor hiccups).

However, with a pool of 6.2 million German IPs (not just residential but all proxy types included), Oxylabs is also one of the most expensive proxy providers. Its pay-as-you-go plan for a German proxy currently costs $8/gb which is a huge number. If you want to stream for longer hours or run automation scripts, costs will pile up very quickly.

Like many other proxy providers, Oxylabs also has had instances of delivering bad or banned IPs to users which has caused a lot of backlash on TrustPilot, putting its rating at a solid 4.1/5.

5. BrightData Residential German Proxies

BrightData Residential German Proxies

BrightData is also one of the oldest and long standing proxy providers in the market with 72+ million IPs in 195 countries. It offers 1.8million German IPs (all proxy types combined) and can even give you city-level IPs with zip-codes.

The dashboard lets me set the country, city, network type, proxy rotation time, etc. Success rates rival Oxylabs. All protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5 are supported. Setup is a bit more technical than FloppyData but with docs and tutorials, you’ll slowly figure it out.

The cost of Bright Data is on the premium side. Pay-as-you-go sits near $8.4/GB but if you buy monthly bulk bandwidth, you can bring it down to $7.5/gb (which gets to $3.75 at 50% discount you get at signup). Overall, the cost can pile up with overtime, just like Oxylabs. It can become very pricey to use and it’s recommended to look for affordable and equally good options.

Bright Data has a strong pedigree (used by many Fortune 500 companies for data collection). Its user reviews on Trustpilot are around 4.4/5 with hundreds of positive reviews. Bright Data is unbeatable. But if you only need a simple proxy solution, it might be overkill.

6. Webshare Rotating Residential German Proxies

Webshare Rotating Residential German Proxies

Webshare is one of the most affordable proxies in this list but the reason is that it only has 95 000 German IPs, covering datacenter plus rotating or static residential pools. A forever-free plan hands out ten test proxies, so I could try it risk-free.

You can web scraping and automation features through supported APIs. Setup is very simple. Just pick Germany as your proxy location, number of IPs you need and pay for the IPs. Static residential proxies start at $0.225/IP and rotating residential from $7/GB which I believe is always on sale for new users at $3.5/GB.

Webshare’s German proxies have solid performance with no issues in rotation or bans. The problem is that the IP pool is very small which means that most of these IPs have already been used by so many users, putting it at a higher risk of ban.

TrustPilot reviews praise Webshare’s low pricing and its ease of use. But in the specific case of German proxies, I would not recommend it due to the smaller IP Pool.

7. SOAX Rotating Residential Proxies for Germany

SOAX Rotating Residential Proxies for Germany

SOAX offers a very large network of 155 million IP addresses in 195 countries. It has 1.1 million German IPs including data center, residential and ISP IPs. SOAX gives me city- and ASN-level filters on a million German IPs.

The UI is easy to understand with options to set rotations, sticky sessions etc. Protocols include HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5, even UDP/QUIC, which is rare. It claims to bypass CAPTCHA requests as well with web scraping functionality.

Pricing comes in traffic bundles with 25 GB at $3.60/GB, 50 GB at $3.40/GB. There is no pay-as-you-go pricing model so casual users may overbuy. You can start a trial of 1GB bandwidth to test the speed and reliability.

Trustpilot shows 4.1 stars out of 5. Most people praise the provider while some angry customers complain about proxies rotating too quickly, getting slow or even blocking their access to certain websites protected by SOAX’s own firewall (read their usage policy).

Conclusion

Every one of these services offers rotating or static German residential SOCKS5 proxies, so you can scrape, stream, or manage local accounts while keeping your real identity out of sight. However, FloppyData topped my tests for being fast, reliable and clean while being the most value for money. It has one of the biggest pools of German residential proxies at a very affordable price. Other options are also decent but some have either smaller IP pool, bad reviews, or just extremely high costs.
